Plan your journey to RailSanya 2027 — by air, rail or sea

By Plane

Travelers can fly directly to Sanya, or arrive at other airports on Hainan Island and continue their journey by the world's first island-wide circular high-speed railway.

Sanya Phoenix International Airport (SYX)

~11 km from city center

The most convenient arrival point. Operates a comprehensive route network connecting Sanya with major Chinese cities and multiple international destinations. Directly integrated with Hainan Island High-Speed Railway via Sanya Phoenix Airport Station.

Haikou Meilan International Airport

~270 km from Sanya

Located in the provincial capital. As one of China's major aviation hubs and a Skytrax 5-Star Airport, Meilan offers a wider range of domestic and international flights. Reach Sanya in approximately 1 hour 40 minutes by high-speed rail.

Qionghai Boao Airport

~160 km from Sanya

Located in Qionghai City. From Boao Airport, a high-speed train journey of about 1 hour will take you directly to Sanya.

By Rail

Direct Cross-Sea Trains

Departing from Shenzhen or other cities in Guangdong Province, you may choose a direct train to Sanya (e.g. Shenzhen East – Sanya). When the train reaches the Qiongzhou Strait, the entire carriage is driven onto a massive ferry — a one-of-a-kind “rail–sea–rail” journey.

Transfer via Haikou

Travelers from other mainland cities typically arrive first at Haikou Railway Station or Haikou East Station, then transfer to the Hainan Island High-Speed Railway — the world's first circular high-speed railway. The journey from Haikou to Sanya takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
